In 1993, the US government issued an executive order mandating preferential purchasing of environmentally conscious products — including toner cartridges.
In 1997, the EPA deemed remanufactured toner cartridges “just as good as” new!
In 2001, remanufactures likely saved 29.7 million toner cartridges and 136.5 million ink cartridges from the landfill.
Remanufactured cartridges can have up to 20% more toner than the original equipment manufacturers (OEM) cartridges which reduces the frequency replacement cartridges are needed.
Reusing cartridges uses less energy than recycling.
In 2002, Lyra Research concluded that 77% of users ranked remanufactured cartridges as equivalent or better than the originals.
In 2008, our manufacturing facility will recycle more than 1 million pounds of manufacturing scrap and our cartridges will prevent approximately 2 million pounds of plastics and metals waste from entering our landfills.
