HP Introduces the Economic Recovery Lease

The economy has slowed, but the demands on businesses have not.

HP introduces the Economic Recovery Lease to help companies make their needed investments while preserving capital and preparing to take advantage of an economic rebound.

Special offers

The Economic Recovery Lease features a 36-month lease with a fixed purchase price option and covers a wide range of HP equipment including laptops, desktops, workstations, monitors, printers, scanners, industry standard servers, business critical servers, storage, and networking equipment (certain restrictions apply).

HP also is extending its 0% 36-month promotion to help customers get access to the equipment they need at attractive rates. This promotion features a 36 month lease with a fair market value purchase option and includes the same wide range of equipment.

Both promotions have a minimum deal size of $5,000 and a maximum deal size of $150,000 and expire October 31, 2009.

You Pay. We Pray.

I am removing this article. Was I on some kind of monk funk when I wrote it?

I hope no one got offended.

"This cartridge is too big."

Many printers have the option of choosing either a high yield or standard yield toner cartridge. Since high yield is usually the better deal, we deliver that. It is not our intent to confuse, but confusion sometimes is the result because the high yield cartridge may be significantly larger than the standard cartridge that was in the printer.

See the cartridges pictured below. The smaller cartridge is standard. The larger one is high yield. These fit the HP P3005 printer.

Go ahead and install the cartridge, even though it looks entirely too large to fit. You will probably be surprised.

And you'll save even more money.

Ink or Toner for low usage multifunction?

Normally, laser printers cost less to own and operate, but for low volume use, that may not be accurate.

I compared six models of color multifunction devices to see which one was most cost effective. The comparison was based on an average of 500 color pages per month and a total life span of four years. The winner was the HP OfficeJet Pro L7600 at 6 cents per page. Compare that to an average of 17 cents per page for lasers.

Why did that surprise me? It surprised me because I always recommend laser based machines over inkjet machines. The difference is that laser machines use toner and inkjet machines use ink. Toner is generally less expensive than ink. However, ink may smear if it gets wet and may also require more expensive paper.

Do you know how much you spend on prints, copies and faxes?

In most organizations:

* Printing is the 3rd highest expense, behind rent and payroll.
* Employees print 34 pages/day.
* 17% are never used.

In the past there was no reasonable way of controlling this expense. Now, SE Laser can help you analyze and reduce office printing, copying and faxing expenses.
